VISITING US
Where are you located?
We have two locations: 1440 Upper Middle Creek Road, Suite 201, Sevierville, TN 37876, and 242 Wears Valley Road, Pigeon Forge, TN 37863. Both are nestled in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains, just minutes from Dollywood.
What are your hours?
Sevierville is open daily from 10-8, and Pigeon Forge is open daily from 10-9. We’re closed on Thanksgiving and on Christmas.
Do I need a reservation?
No reservation needed. Just walk in — we’re open daily and always ready to pour.
Is parking free?
Yes. Free parking is available at both locations.
Are you wheelchair accessible?
Yes. Both the Sevierville and Pigeon Forge tasting rooms are fully ADA accessible.
How long does a visit usually take?
Most guests spend 30-45 minutes with us, though you’re welcome to linger. There’s a lot to try.
TASTINGS & SPIRITS
Are tastings free?
Yes — you can sample up to ten spirits products completely free, no purchase required. Sample what you like and take home what you love.
What spirits do you make?
We craft award-winning bourbons, rye whiskeys, flavored whiskeys, vodka, rum, gin, brandy, and cream liqueurs — all small-batch, all made with obsessive attention to quality.
What’s your most popular bottle?
Our Ryeconic Double-Oaked Rye consistently turns skeptics into converts. Our Blackberry Whiskey and Chocolate Whiskey are crowd favorites too, especially for guests who are newer to whiskey.
Do you make moonshine?
We do! We carry a small selection at our Sevierville location that have roots in classic Smoky Mountain moonshine tradition, alongside our aged and award-winning whiskey lineup.
Do you offer cocktails to drink on-site?
We keep it focused on what we do best — the tasting experience. We don’t offer cocktails on-site, but between the free tastings and our full lineup of spirits to take home, you won’t leave empty-handed.
Do I need to know anything about whiskey to enjoy the tasting?
Not at all. Our staff loves guiding first-timers just as much as enthusiasts. Tell us what you normally like to drink and we’ll find something you’ll love.
FAMILY, PETS & GROUPS
Are you family friendly? Can I bring my kids?
Yes! Children are welcome in the tasting room with a parent or guardian. Kids cannot sample spirits, but they’re always welcome to hang out while the adults taste.
Are dogs allowed?
Absolutely — well-behaved dogs are welcome inside at both locations. You don’t have to leave your pup in the car.
Do you host bachelorette or bachelor parties?
Yes, and we love them. Private group events are one of our specialties. Reach out to us through our socials or through our website to plan yours.
Can I book a private event or group tasting?
Yes. We accommodate private events and group bookings at both locations. Contact us to discuss availability and what we can put together for your group.
TOURS & PRODUCTION
Do you offer distillery tours?
Yes — on bottling days, you may get to peek in and see our production operation in action at either location. But due to our small size, full-scale tours are not available.
Who makes the spirits?
King’s Family Distillery is a true family operation. Justin King, co-owner and head distiller, has over a decade of experience in the industry — including serving as Master Distiller at the first legal moonshine distillery in Tennessee. His wife and co-owner Cara King, drives the business, marketing, and procurement side, ensuring every detail from the barrel to the bottle to your experience in the tasting room is intentional. Every bottle reflects both of them.
What is the Barrel Picks Program?
Our Barrel Picks Program lets you spend an afternoon with Justin and Cara King to personally select a barrel of our award-winning bourbons or ryes. Bookings and selection are limited — visit our website to reserve your session.

Can I buy bottles to take home?
Yes. Our full lineup is available for purchase in-store at both locations.
Do you ship?
Yes — we ship to most U.S. states through our online store. Visit shop.kingsfamilydistillery.com for the full list of states we can deliver to. Orders over $150 ship free.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept credit cards, debit cards, and cash at both locations.
Do you offer any discounts?
Yes — we offer a discount for military and first responders. Thank you for your service. Ask our staff when you visit.
Can I find your spirits at local restaurants or retail stores?
Yes. Visit the ‘Where to Buy’ page on our website for a list of retailers and restaurants carrying King’s Family Distillery spirits near you.
ABOUT THE SMOKIES
Are you close to Dollywood?
Yes — both locations are just minutes from Dollywood. Our Pigeon Forge location on Wears Valley Road and our Sevierville location are each an easy drive from the park. We’re a natural stop before or after your visit.
Are you close to Great Smoky Mountains National Park?
Very. The park entrance is about 5 miles south of Pigeon Forge. We’re a great stop to pick up a bottle before or after your hike.
Is there traffic getting to you?
Our Sevierville and Wears Valley Road locations are intentionally off the main Parkway strip, so you’ll dodge a lot of the Pigeon Forge traffic. Easy to get to, easy to park.
What else is nearby?
Both locations are close to Dollywood, the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, cabin rentals, Parrot Mountain, mountain coasters, and the full range of Smoky Mountain attractions. We make a great addition to any itinerary.
