Freshwater Pirate
This is a creatively-named cocktail similar to a Manhattan but much more Southern! Gifted to the King’s from a beloved neighbor, the Freshwater Pirate is a unique blend of King’s Rye Whiskey with sweet, floral, and simple fruity syrups plus citrus and vermouth. You and your friends will not forget this swashbuckling concoction.
Ingredients
- 4 oz King’s Rye Whiskey
- 5 tsp Elderberry Syrup
- 1 tsp oz Peach & Honey Simple Syrup
- 4 oz Sweet or Dry Vermouth
- 1 Orange orLemon
Glass
Martini Glass
Garnish
Zest of Lemon or Orange
Step by Step Instructions
Step 1
Combine King’s Rye Whiskey, Elderberry Simply Syrup, Peach & Honey Simply Syrup, and Vermouth in a cocktail shaker.
Step 2
Shake vigorously with ice until chilled.
Step 3
Strain into a martini glass and garnish with zest or a squeeze of lemon or orange.
